There are more and more references in magazines, journals, newspapers and on the web, linking environmental pollutants
of all kinds - chemical, radiation-based, and other - with the dramatic increase in all forms of cancer during the past 30
years. It is generally felt that such substances weaken normal linkages between biochemstry of ALL types of cell, eg. nervous
system, digestive system, etc, and this undermines the capacity of the immune system to operate effectively.
This section of the site is the most recent, and in process. I will be adding to it as I come across useful resources
on the theme of cancer and environmental issues.

Professors Gerry Potter and Danny Burke have developed a supplement, produced
from organically grown fruits, that provides regulated quantities of 'salvestrols'. Gerry Potter did the initial work on the
cancer cell that identified that such cells contain an enzyme produced by the body, which, when activated by the presence
of another substance, would destroy the cancer cells. If the 'other substance' is not present in the cell, the cancer grows.
He found that 'salvestrols' are that substance, and are readily available in organically grown vegetables and fruits, but
not in inorganic ones. The following site gives more information on this, and also suppliers via the internet, although
it may be worth asking your local health food store to order it in for you. It is also worth googling "salvestrols" for further information.

I'm not sure what (or who) is behind the next site but am leaving

This is a really useful resource, dedicated to
making information on non-drug health help, for cancer and other serious illnesses. It also has a links/resources section
for other possibly helpful information.
This is the site of an American company producing amino acid compounds
specifically to help the immune system reverse symptoms of cancer. It is an extremely high-tech approach to immune system
management, yet some may find it of interest. It does include good descriptions of aspects of the metabolic pathways
whereby cancer develops.
This is a young company inspired to research and develop natural products
specifically for people with challenged immune systems. They market organic goji or wolfberries from Ningxia province in China,
and an impressive range of mushroom tinctures with specific action on cancer. Goji berries have had a good amount of research
done on them and have been found extremely useful for many cancers. The site also has links to research articles, and it is
worth doing your own search via google on goji berries (lyceum barbarum).
